About Department of Civil Engineering

Civil Engineering Department of KITE started working since the inception of the institute viz 2002. In fact Kautilya is the first private Engineering College to open Civil Engineering stream from session 2002-03. It is also the pioneer institute to start M.Tech.(Structure Engineering) course from 2009-10.

The department has very highly qualified faculty like Ph.Ds from IIT Kanpur, IIT Bombay, MNIT Jaipur etc. Its large percentage is senior faculty. The department has well equipped laboratories as per RTU syllabus like Material Testing Lab, Hydraulics Lab, Environmental Engg. Lab, Geo-technical Lab, EMET Lab, Structural Engg. Lab, Survey Lab, RMT Lab, CAD Lab & Geology Lab in which students perform various experiments under the guidance of learned faculty.

CED has also installed a “Test House” in which all sort of testing is carried out for building as well as road material. The Test House also provides consultancy at different technical issues.

The passed out students have been placed at various prestigious positions. Some are doing M.Tech. in IIT’s and NIT’s.
