Significance of
Branch
Energy is vital for all living-beings on earth & in today's scenario
modern life's style increased its importance which means faster
transport, faster communication & faster manufacturing processes. All
this leads to increase in energy demand. The most popular form of
energy is electrical energy whether it is in usable form thermal form
(healing purpose) in mechanical form (electrical motor) for lightly
purpose (illumination purpose) or for transportation system.
Nature of Work
It deals with the generation, transmission, distribution & utilization
of electrical energy. The generation of electrical energy includes
conventional & non -conventional methods viz. thermal, nuclear,
hydro-electric plants & wind, solar, fuel cells & plants. |

Career Opportunities
Now days India using only 2% of its total energy demands from
Non-conventional sources but countries like America, Germany etc. using
20% of total energy from non-conventional sources, due to decay of
fossil fuels. Due to increase in energy demand, windfall, Bio-gas
plants etc. are introduced & more electrical engineers are absorbed in
generation & transmission sector.
