About Department of Computer Engineering

The Department of Computer Science was started in July, 2002 and is now recognized as one of the leading departments with infrastructure and amenities to match the very best in the country. It was started with the object of promoting specialized knowledgeable in the field of Computer Science & Engineering. This is top Computer Science & Engineering College in Jaipur. In view of the world wide lack of skilled manpower in the field of Computer Science & Engineering, the Department strives to channelize talented youth of the region to this challenging and knowledge intensive field by imparting quality technical knowledge and skills in the field. The department remains committed towards its mission, which is two folded. One is to provide students with the fundamental knowledge and problem solving skills in Computer Science required for a fulfilling career. The other goal is to create and disseminate knowledge to improve Computer Science research, education and practice. The programmes started under this department are B. Tech, M. Tech in Computer Science.

On behalf of my colleagues, I am delighted to welcome you to the Department of Computer Science & Engineering. This Department is intended to serve several different constituencies which include our current students, faculty and Course contents. The objectives for the establishment of the Department are in line with the vision of KITE to become an exemplary institute of nationally acknowledged stature and excellence in teaching, research and scholarship. Furthermore, our academic program and learning environment has been designed to contribute to the quality and intellectual development of the students. We are actively engaged in an exciting and looking forward program of teaching and research. The Department of Computer Science & Engineering was first started in 2002 with aims to provide our state and our nation, quality graduates whom will contribute to the development of the country. To achieve the vision and goals of the department, it is necessary that all concerned would need to work together and invest in mental and physical energies to uphold the name of the department. The faculty members are not only providing high quality education to the students, but also are immersed in cutting-edge research which covers almost all disciplinary areas of Computer Engineering.
